Last night on BBC2 – video diaries of author AS Byatt
Did anyone tape 'Scribbling' last night's programme on BBC2 about Booker prize-winning author, AS Byatt?
I desperately need a copy of this programme. I promised to tape it for my wife and forgot!
If anyone has a copy, I will happily buy it off you, hire it, whatever it takes to get hold of it.
If you could contact me by email I will send you a stamped addressed jiffy bag and payment, so all you have to do is pop it in the post. I will of course return the tape.
My email address is: bruce.beckett@talk21.com
Thanks
Bruce

Call the BBC or go online bbc.co.uk. I think there's a section there where you can buy archived programmes. Think it costs about £10 but will be worth it to save your marriage. Damn, was going to tape it but decided to watch it and tape Alfie instead! Good luck
I watched the AS Byatt thing and taped Alfie as well. It was very interesting seeing exactly how she worked, and realising that there isn't some glamourous other writing world. Yes she went on book tours and went to France each Summer, but she still wrote on cheap A4 in pen and sat on a cheap plastic garden chair.
That to me was very heartening.
Thanks Jay for your good wishes and thanks too to Rachel for your suggestion.
I have looked at the BBC online site but can't find any archive service that would supply me with a tape of last night's programme.
So I am still in the market for a copy, if anyone has one.
Mark hope its still on as now you have explained a bit about
it I feel sorry I dismissed it out of hand, will watch out for it
maybe there will be repeat's certainly hope so...
Try BBC info on 0870 6007080. Really helpful
Yeah, I'm pretty sure you can hire tapes of anything that's been on the BBC in the past few days.
