Which ofthese are you...?

Been doing lots & lots of thinking over the summer period, some really heavy stuff , and it has come 2 me that basically there are two types of people in modern society today: the drimblers and the helicopters.

The question is which are you?

The drimblers are the people who sit around all day drimbling. I guess that's me. I'm a born drimbler.

Then there's the helicopters - they're much easier to spot. They're the ones with the rotor blades sticking out of the top of their heads going round & round & round, and when you stand under them you get this great down draught, like a mighty energy force.

That's as far as I've got with it. What do you think?

If you stand beneath me you will get a down draught alright.. but more based on the jet principle. I think I do fit in a third category, which is a born drimbler trying to take off.. but only managing a few sputtering inches off the ground. Very deep thinking indeed, Rizla...

Er..how long *was* your summer period? Have to say made me cackle, though. Does that mean I'm a drimbler?

freda's post about helicopters with talking, smiling bums made me chortle for ages. But there's no way that a true drimbler could ever admit to having any helicopterishness. Can they multi-task at all? Or is drimbling truly non-directional? *drimmmbles away*

People who mainly only post on the forums are drimblers, but people who are always adding to their abcs are helis. Even if your write poems or stories are about drimbling, the fact that you write them makes you a helicopter.

With such a stark choice I asked my other half what constitutes a hovercraft, as none of the above seemed to apply. He said a *hovercraft* suited me perfectly... As it's basically *trapped wind in a skirt* engineers don't you just love em...

Bumheads are usually drimblers. Those whose bums talk and smile are helicopters.

I was off for about eight weeks during the summer, Andrea. Really cleared my head and got me more focused on a few things. You guys have really taken this concept a lot further than I expected. I need to go away and rethink, but basically it could be that we've all got a bit of the drimbler within us...not sure about hovercraft, but we could add that one if it's agreed... also a bumhead could be a drimbling bumhead or a helicopter bumhead, depends. Basically it could be that there's a little bit of drimbling even in the most helicopterish of us and a little bit of helicopterishness in the most drimbling of us.

Though I'm no expert on the matter - I wonder if some people might swing between the two. You could basically be a drimbler but occasionally launch into manic helicopterish episodes. In which case you would multi-task wildly and then subside back into drimbling vaguely hoping to pick up the pieces made by your chopper. Like I do for instance.

Last night I had this amazing dream, I dreamt Australia was like a giant helicopter and I had to fly it somewhere - not sure where - and all the controls were shaped like bosoms and I was frantically trying to stop it tipping over and then we crashed...I ended up underwater then I woke up. Not sure what it means but it was very real.
