Congratulations to her, Tony. I'm hoping to catch the last Saracens game of the season against London Irish. Why don't you come along?

A bit flattering to England in the end. But they showed character.

Exactly - and remember we've had no Wilko all series. Some of the old names have to go now. Dallaglio, Kay (I know he' s young but he's lost it), Greenwood. Bring on the yoyng guns and let's see who's there for 2007.

Much better in the second half, but now we need to rebuild. Didn't think much of Dallaglio as skipper first time round, even less now. Still, it could have been worse........... I could have been born welsh. :-)))))) [%sig%]

Ok Wilko was unfit and Johnson has retired, but why was Neil Back dropped? Hope to see Simpson-Daniel given a shout along with his mate Forrester from Gloucs. I think we need a backs coach as well........we were just too predictable...........Hox you could have been born a Scotsman.

I agree that Dallaglio has to go. He's not the man Johnson was. It'll be great to see Wilkinson fit for the tour, but Ollie Barkley has nothing to be ashamed of. He missed a couple, but that's sport. He's only young and can come again. Richard Hill had a fantastic game, as did Vickery and Cohen. Jason Robinson looked surprisingly lost at times. An off day perhaps.

Sorry to pop old thread to top but just got this in an email (read to the end!): HER DIARY Saturday 27th March 2004 Saw him in the evening and he was acting really strangely. I had been shopping in the afternoon with the girls and I did turn up a bit late so thought it might be that. The bar was really crowded and loud so I suggested we go somewhere quieter to talk. He was still very subdued and distracted so I suggested we go somewhere nice to eat. All through dinner he just didn't seem himself; he hardly laughed, and didn't seem to be paying any attention to me or to what I was saying. I just knew that something was wrong. He dropped me back home and I wondered if he was going to come in; he hesitated, but followed. I asked him again if there was something the matter but he just half shook his head and turned the television on. After about 10 minutes of silence, I said I was going upstairs to bed. I put my arms around him and told him that I loved him deeply. He just gave a sigh, and a sad sort of smile. He didn't follow me up, but later he did, and I was surprised when we made love. He still seemed distant and a bit cold, and I started to think that he was going to leave me, and that he had found someone else. I cried myself to sleep. _____ HIS DIARY Saturday 27th March 2004. England lost to France. Gutted. Got a shag though.

I had my faith in rugby restored on Sunday. My youngest has made it into the London and South East regional side. She played a three way tournament with Eastern Counties and East Midlands on Sunday. What a corking trio of matches! All close, all very very hard and all unscrupulously fair. We beat Eastern Counties 15 -12, they were then beaten by East Midlands 12 - 5 and then we beat East Midlands 21 - 7 - although that scoreline flattered us. I was just so impressed with the drive and commitment of all the girls/women (17 and 18 year olds) and the way in which they played the game. Women's world champions next, eh? How much of a splash will that make? Far too little I fear.

Not being passed to in the right position. * I hate the way we look so brutish and sluggish. I hate the way we keep recycling it into the scrums instead of playing it wide. I hate the way Woodward has to be such a boor. It's no wonder the rest of the world hates us. Why do we always seem so arrogant, making a virtue of standing alone? As in politics. Are there not other ways?
