somebody put me out of my misery please
ok, this is utterly trivial but it's really getting to me now. I just need a keen eared individual to sort me out and I'll sleep at nights again.
There's a Pot Noodles ad on at the mo set in Mexico.
A group of mexicans serenade a young brit couple at their table and it turns nasty for the fella, it's alright, no award winner but there you go.
There's one line in the song that I can't get. I've listened, concentrated, got sarah to listen etc but to no avail. Please help.
The song begins:
"Oh English girl you're so young and so ..... (blah blah blah)"
so far so good, then it get a bit faster
"But secretly he is bored with you... (blah blah blah) the back street action"
still alright.
THEN it gets faster still and here's the line I just can't get.
"He can't resist - something something
something something- pot noodle mess"
The second set of 'somethings' I can get, I just can't remember them here, it's the first two after "he can't resist"
it sounds like he's singing "He can't resist the city suggests" but that makes no sense. Or, "He can't resist the citizen chelsea" again, no sense.
please, someone, listen and tell me what it is. I won't make a big deal and I may be the only person who can't get it, or cares at all. You won't see me dancing up to bed, you'll just get a thanks and the whole sorry business will be forgotten.
