Will Orlaith manage to confirm Science's opinion of Derek in the eyes of the general public? Is he really as black as she is painting him :o)

Derek is a thick, pointless, nasty Tory shit.

He's the only interesting one left. And I'm not a Tory. How could the viewing public prefer Orlaith to Kemal? Makes no sense.

I think these two replies sum up the dicotomy of opinion as to why people should be kept in the Big Brother house: either because they are good, decent, moral people, yet a tad boring, or because they are devious and deceitful but entertaining. I think that there is definitely no doubt that Derek has been using standard political back stabbing techniques under the guise of giving advice and guidance. Whether this is part of the game or part of his nature remains to be seen but I would venture to say that he is an arrogant, opinionated, ruthless, snob - who is not so much intelligent as confident (probably well eductated) and not so much mature as experienced. Never-the-less he is entertaining and it will be interesting to see how he fares - will he win and go on to become Prime minister :o)

Makes no sense.* Not to worry, she's walked...Orlaith left the house at 10.25 am today citing irreconcilable differences with Derek as her reason for going..(strange, I seem to remember her giving the same reasons for wanting to go last week, only the person she was having problems with then was Science.)

Derek, to my mind, does not sound educated, he can't string a sentence together. He is not very intelligent, if he was, he might be interesting. His hatred of Orlairth? Just nasty and uneeded. The way he has been 'manipulating people' - that's only because they are all to green to spot what he's doing. He won't win it. If Orlaith has left, she's an idiot as well.

Did you see the thick Tory twat last night? Asked to guess a famous horse, Derek couldn't even get the name of Red Rum right the prentious half-wit - and when he was given a hint - 'hey ho' he got the name 'Silver' but thought, inexplicably that it was John Wayne's horse and was from his film 'Hey Ho'. He then went on to host a competition as quizmaster and this was one of the questions!!!! Now he's trying to influence everbody to nominate Anthony, what a thick Tory shit.

Did John Wayne make a film called Hey Ho? I thought Derek had made that up (from Westward Ho) so that Craig couldn't get it right in the 'quiz' - as Derek was contriving to let Antony win. The actual quote is "Hi Ho Silver" and comes from the start of the Lone Ranger... A fiery horse with the speed of light, a cloud of dust and a hearty "Hi Ho Silver. Always reminds me of the Jeff Beck classic though... "You're saying everything is groovy but your tyres are flat and it's..."

Sorry Smiley, I assumed everyone of a certain age knew about the Lone Ranger. Derek is too confused to make anything up, and too thick to capitalise on it. 'Hi Ho Silver, away!'

Errrr ... what are you people taking about here? If it's that Big Brother crap, I'm banning you all! *places hands on hips* *Taps right foot* *does the hokie pokie and then turns around*

Yes, the Lone Ranger is worth a thread of his own. "Masked man... silver bullet..." No doubt it will be revived as Kemo Sabi Vampire Killer :o)
The Git is up for eviction, let's hope he goes. ______________________ http://kjheritage.darkgod.net
I really hope he does go, KJ. Talking to people in supermarkets, I've found Derek is quite popular with some ladies - but men, invariably, don't like him. I suspect that his outburst - when told he couldn't exchange tasks (when he finally knocked a can over... by throwing his gun at them) - demonstrated just how petulant and childish he can be and dented his mature, authoritarian, image. Won't be long until we know.
