As i struggle to write flash fiction that really moves the reader, i come across two (see Foster boy and tire thread) and this, extremely satisfying micro story that made me shiver on the last line.

The ending to this is really powerful. It's a quick read that leaves the reader satisfied, proving a lot can be said with very little.

Ta so much you two for your encouraging comments. This is the first piece of 'flash fiction' I have attempted. I found it very challenging - I think until you actually try to do it you don't realise how difficult it is. A good discipline too apply generally when writing prose I think. I have learned a lot. Any other constructive criticism I should welcome very much. SSS
