Do we accept his apology?

Deputy Prime Minister, John Prescott, said sorry very publicly to the Labour Party conference this afternoon.

"I let my party down, I let my country down, I let my trousers down . . ."

Very remorseful and sincere it was.

I don't understand why we expect our politicians to publicly apologise about having affairs; I mean, it's par for the course for most men in power, and it's not like politicians are elected to serve as a moral barometer for the populace. What I understand even less, however, is why anyone would have an affair with *him*.... *wrinkles nose*

Ah, but he didn't apologise for having an affair, he apologised for getting caught. and of course, if you believe the rumours, he has a bad track record when apologising for affairs.
