Holly, Ive been having a look at your poetry, and there is certainly a lot of passion there! I see you already got a cherry from one of the editors.. congrats on that - took me ages to get my first cherry :o) I found some of the rhymes a bit heavy - have you ever thought of writing without restricting yourself to rhyme? I think its quite important to find yourself a "voice", and to get the things that you want to say out first, without compromise... I also think that to create a natural rhyme takes some incredible skill... i am never comfortable with the stuff i write to form, i do find it really hard to do well, and i think it is a rare poet that *does* do it well. You obviously love writing and reading, and thats the thing to grab and hold onto like hell - read as much as you can, of everything you can. Keep that passion too - it will serve you well... your poetry is better than mine was at your age (and some would say now too im sure) Keep at it!

took me a while to find it so I'm posting the link Holly, I liked it too and, while I agree with Liana that it can be tricky to rhyme poetry without making it seem forced, this one seemed to flow along quite happily as well as being very poignant. If you don't mind a wee bit of advice though, I would recommend spell checking your work before posting it. Although it was still easy to read there are many readers who would be put off by lots of typos. Having said that God knows I'm always re editing my work cause of my appaling spelling... Anyway have fun writing and we'll have fun reading your work and, belatedly, welcome to ABC. Vicky

Thankyou for your comments vicky. im glad you enjoyed it. i have to agree i must be the worst typer(probably not grammtically correct!) in the world.Im all thumbs and therefore am always making errors, but i will try harder future as it is a pain to read things mispelt etc. Thankyou for taking the time to find my work and for posting the link so others can view it.
