quote poetry

a poem composed entirely of actual george w bush quotes, arranged by the journalist richard thompson.

Make The Pie Higher

I think we all agree
The past is over.
This is still a dangerous world.
It's a world of madmen
And uncertainty
And potential mental losses.
Rarely is the question asked:
Is our children learning?
Will the highways of the Internet
Become more few?
How many hands
Have I shaked?
They misunderestimate me.
I am a pitbull on the pant leg
Of opportunity.
I know that the human being
and the fish
Can coexist.
Families is where our nation
Finds hope
Where our wings take dream.
Put food on your family!
Knock down the tollbooth!
Vulcanize Society!
Make the pie higher!
Make the pie higher!
More and more of our imports
Are from overseas.

Put food on your family??? Are we talking designer MacDonalds? I certainly misunderestimated Bush - he's even crazier than I thought!

Yep...George the bushwhacker is definitely the "MacDonalds" of presidents...dependable mediocrity. Too bad the American folks are scared of a candidate with brains, @ Bill Bradley. WOnder if the pie he refers to might be cow patties?

Am I the only one who thinks that whoever won the Presidency, that the backroom boys and girls (who have always been around), would try to influence him? Ok, he has the "power", but surely one man voted into power for at least 4 years - then maybe voted out, can't gt everyone to follow "his" ideas? Also, I have a sneaky feeling that his dad (President when the Gulf war was on and criticised for not toppling Sadam), may have some influence here.

I like these (Bushisms): There's no cave deep enough for America, or dark enough to hide."—Oklahoma City, Aug. 29, 2002 (Thanks to Michael Shively.) "I'm thrilled to be here in the bread basket of America because it gives me a chance to remind our fellow citizens that we have an advantage here in America—we can feed ourselves."—Stockton, Calif., Aug. 23, 2002 (Thanks to Christopher Baird.) "I promise you I will listen to what has been said here, even though I wasn't here." "I can assure you that, even though I won't be sitting through every single moment of the seminars, nor will the vice president, we will look at the summaries." http://politics.slate.msn.com/?id=76886
