ABCtales Newsletter November 2015
Dear ABCtalers,
No doubt you will all have read this announcement for the forthcoming London Reading:
http://www.abctales.com/blog/scratch/london-reading-11112015-1
As you can see the event takes place this Wednesday 11th November at the beautiful Wheatsheaf pub in the Fitzrovia quarter of London’s historic Soho. It’s scheduled at 18:30 for a 19:00 start and it promises to be a superbly entertaining evening with a packed programme involving some of ABCtales most talented writers.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the contributors in advance for all their positivism and enthusiasm that I and everyone else that works behind the scenes knows they will bring along. For those readers (you know who you are!) who have been in touch with me and spoken of first-time nerves let me reassure you once again that being nervous is a good thing – it shows that you care – but rest assured, you can be certain of a supportive and appreciative audience on Wednesday. Which brings me seamlessly onto the next point.
If you can come along on Wednesday and be part of that wonderful audience we’d be absolutely delighted to see you. There’s nothing better than being part of a packed house, whether you’re a reader or a listener, so please do come along if at all possible. Let’s make this one an evening to remember.
Finally, it’s an ABCtales tradition that an auction is held on the night. All the money raised goes towards The Railway Children Charity. Over the years, ABCtales has raised hundreds and hundreds of pounds for this wonderful organisation. May I ask those that can bring along a little something for us to put up for auction? Books are always popular but almost anything, especially items with some curiosity or fun value, is welcome.
So on behalf of Tony Cook and all my fellow editors I’d like to wish everyone well. Here’s to seeing as many of you as possible on Wednesday evening.
Kind regards,
Peter.
