Monday May 9th - a reminder (and the comp too!)

Greetings ABCtalers,

Just a quick reminder of our event on Monday May 9th at The Wheatsheaf on Rathbone Place in London W1T 1JB (nearest tube: Tottenham Court Road).

It starts at 7 p.m. and should be over by 9.30 p.m. We've got a great bunch of performers, including some of our best young poets. I'm very excited at the prospect of seeing Maggy van Eijk, Hannah Jane Walker (span) and Emily Kurzin (Sunday's Child) on the same bill. That's not to detract from our other readers who will be: Helvigo jenkins, david maidment, eamon somers, bruce beckett, whatsername, simon fairnington, david gee, tessa hart and tcook (reading a story by jlb).

Entrance is £5 (£3 concessions). No need to book - just turn up on the night. I do hope that we will see a lot of you - and do bring a friend or six!

Don't forget our Let's Start Again comp. We've got a £250 first prize on offer in both the poetry and prose sections as well as a £50 runners-up prize. For full details see here: http://www.abctales.com/node/607815

I'm sure that many of you are eagerly beavering away on your submissions. Carnegie Prize winning author Mal Peet has kindly agreed to act as our judge.

Happy writing and I hope to see as many of you as possible on Monday the 9th.

Regards,
Tony Cook and the team.
