I'm about half-way through Prodigal Summer - I think the reason I like this author is because she's so good at giving the reader a little tour of nature.

I also like the characters she paints - there's one she uses in just about everything she writes - I want to be her.

I'm getting round to it - got a whole pile of stuff to plough through first - some of it selected from 'my favourite five books' on this site. If people liked the people I liked then I thought I'd pick up some of their other favourites. Just finished Slabrat by Ted Heller - Joseph's boy. It's OK, good holiday reading but hardly Catch 22. Would he have been published without his surname? I doubt it!
