*whispering a welcome* I have two ex husbs called steve, so am rather nervous. you know what they say about things coming in threes..... neither of them could write like that though. stephen murphy is rather good too......

Thanks for the recommendation, Andrew, it means a lot to me. I was very chuffed to be picked for a poem of the day. I've never really thought of myself as a poet, more as a short story writer. The stories that I've posted here are from an unpublished collection called Long Short Scratches, written over the 1994-1997 period. Almost everything is up there now - I have a sequel to Bravado that I'm working on, which I'll be sure to post when finished. Thanks for your encouragement everyone!
