Hot Links - Again!
I'm finding all this pasting-in of links terribly tedious. So I am going to make another attempt to explain to everybody how to do the nice simple hot links with story titles turning red and becoming clickable.
Now listen carefully, I will say this only once. Suppose for the sake of argument that you have discovered some exciting new story somewhere and you want to tell us all how to get to it. The piece in question we will say is called "REMINDER OF A PAST" by Alp and the page is at:
http://www.abctales.com/abcplex/viewstory.cgi?s=25956
Now of course if you put that in your post we can all go to the page by pasting that string of symbols into our browsers and hitting "return". But a much more elegant way of getting us there is to tell us to visit REMINDER OF A PAST by Alp. How is it done? Simple. In your "post" form type the following:
<a href="http://www.abctales.com/abcplex/viewstory.cgi?s=25956">REMINDER OF A PAST</a>
It can become part of a sentence, thus:
Why don't you go and have a look at Alp's great new poem <a href="http://www.abctales.com/abcplex/viewstory.cgi?s=25956">REMINDER OF A PAST</a>?
Okay, is that clear? It isn't really magic and doesn't involve the burrying of anything at the crossroadds when the moon is full. Notice that I haven't even used one of my own stories as an example, this is a pure selfless public service broadcast. Of course you CAN find one of my stories HERE if you really want to read one.
