I am still here, with my eyes shut, hands held out for the gift...

I am too still here, eyes open tho' gently lowering as booze sinks in, also handing hand out for gift :o)

Since the lady moved in, I don't drink so much now. Well, not alone anyway. In the past, living on my own, I have often substituted company with drink. Sad, but true. Can't drink and write though (you know what I mean, "proper" writing, not forum plop...) , can't drink AND concentrate. I've said before, I'm the anti-dylanthomas (who of course claimed he couldn't write whilst sober, but I reckon that's got alcoholic-denial written all over it. Bet he wrote most of his good stuff with a hangover.)

I'm sure the lady is thrilled to bits... I write far better when mildly pissed... it loosens the tongue so to speak.
