Yeah, that's what I've been doing, that, not laying on the sofa with a glass of wine watching friends at all, and I'll fight anyone who says different. I was never really into Run DMC though I liked them enough. The thing that really annoyed me though was that rock/rap crossover thing with Aerosmith. It was a good enough track and that but everyone was all over it at the time saying what a great thing it was, when Anthrax and Public Enemy had ALREADY DONE bring The Noise, which is a far far better track. It always annoyed me. To this day.

i remember pinning my flag to Run DMC in my youth for no more valid reason than the trainer wars that polarised kids for a while between Adidas and Nike (upstarts!). I was strictly Adidas at the time and their song "my adidas" became an anthem but only in the mldest possible way. I still wore laces in mine and didn't even bother buying the track. i also wear Nike now and see the whole episode as one of the more shallow of my life, still, kids eh?

I'm afraid I was Nike, Ely - right up to the point where British people started calling them "Nik-eee" - they were beautiful, beautiful things when they rhymed with bike. And before anyone starts, yes, I know they are made in sweat-shops by badly paid children.

oh i couldn't agree more Emily, the air max is still one of the most expensive on the market and I'm sure I've already told about my 'bale fire' for a pair of leather air max that I had imported in my teens and then ruined by working behind a bar in them. I almost cried and I wasn't very emotional in those days.
