I know we have the London Dungeons but...

Just talking to a friend who'd come back from various theme parks in Florida. She said, in one, there was a lifelike model of a man in an electric chair and if you put a dollar in he got electricuted complete with smoke, sound effects and juddering about. All the kids watching thought it was hilarious (she dragged hers away). But I was just thinking - what went on in that planning meeting? ... "I know what this theme park needs!..."

I go to Sante Fe every year. My son lives in Hobbs (go figure)

I make an exception for Santa Fe. Actually, for all of northern NM, and the Gila Forest. Really beautiful country.

Where, around Chama? My best friend and I used to go on fishing trips with her Gramps around Chama. He was an outdoor guide. Brilliant fun, even though I don't eat fish and threw 'em back.

we went to orlando for our honeymoon. I didn't see no man in an electric chair but I woulnd't place that as alarming when you consider the fact that when you come to cross roads, you get 10 seconds to leg it over (which is counted down dramatically on a sign on the other side) or the drivers are quite happy to run you over :)

To get your moneys worth billy, try tossing some cash into the intersection. Let somebody chase it. In Texas, some guy wants to do "internet hunting" Yep thats right, you pay with your credit card, connect to a high powered rifle over the internet and shoot a stocked animal that wanders into view. I can only imagine the grounds keeper out there looking for his car keys when ole Bubba gets online to shoot a cow.

Guys, we're talking about Florida and Texas. The Bushie Empire rules both. Need I say more?

Yes...please say more.

Radio, you should know better. The Lone Star State and the Hurricane State are, shall we say, homing places for the less evolved. Both states still kill their prisoners, with alarming regularity. Both are, in part, ultra-conservative. Both have had Bushes for governer, repeatedly. And, coincidentally, both have their share of macabre 'entertainment' for above-mentioned less-evolved.

And sorry, that's 'governor'. Typo.

From personal experience, I would rate your typical Florida redneck a much more loathsome creature than your typical Texas redneck. On the other end of the spectrum however, if it turns out they are related to one another, they can still get married.

*guffaws* I grew up 43 miles from the Texas border. Waayy too close for comfort.

Yup. Not exactly a hotbed of intellectual activity, itself. Which is why I moved away as soon as possible, as far away as possible.
