Can't people see that all these sites that ask for money for books they've put the people in are exploiting their vanity. Getting a work published in such a way is like paying for a PhD. Don't let these people take advantage of you (unless they tell you they are). Notice how the self publishers make you buy lots of copies. They have to, or they can't make a profit (which they have to do--or they wouldn't exist).
If you just want your work to look like a book buy a good lazer printer. Get some quality paper. Then make up some glue. Thread strings through pages. Make the covers from hard cardboard. Use an ISBN image from web or scan one.

Hi Christine,
Noble House apparently saw my poems at Poetry.com and sent me a
letter stating they'd like to publish one of my poems. My choice. Like an idiot
I believe the letter and sent the poem. I also sent the check for $45.00.
That was a few months ago and I have yet to receive this so called book.
Anymore thoughts you can share I would appreciate.
Thank You,
Delphine

I have had several of my poems published by Poetry.com, and have received each book that I purchased through them. I was also contacted by Noble House, and, yes, they did publish my poem, and, yes I did receive the book, Theatre of the Mind.
However, I did extensive searches for that book, and have not found anything anywhere that it exists.
I have also searched for some of the books published by Poetry.com, and have not found them listed either.
For anyone interested, the phone number, 410-356-2000, is Poetry.com's.
I've called and spoke with personnel at that number.
I to had sent a check to Noble House for Theatres of the mind and have yet to receive the book or any other info regarding this book. If anyone happens to get ahold of them or by any chance gets a number please let me know! Thanks
