Site progress update
I'm writing this to confirm that there is progress behind the scenes at ABCtales and to reassure everyone, including those who have emailed me, that we are working to resolve the problems that are present on site at the moment.
I can fully understand how frustrating it is to be so close to doing what it is you really want to do, load and control pieces, yet being unable to log in to do so. I'm amazingly frustrated that you all cannot, and I can promise you that my previously long hair will be approaching a state closer to Tony's sleek, smooth pate if I tear any more of it out.
Thank you all for bearing with us. The lady that is ABC may seem to be sick and feeble, but believe me, when the treatment is finished she'll be more beautiful, beguiling and powerful than she's ever been.

is the site finished in all its updates? cos i can log in fine...but as soon as i want to upload, or even just look at my works... it asks me to log in once more and its here that it wont accept my password? im just wondering if this is temporary and is happening to everyone, or whether i've lost all my works

I take Mark's post to mean that, although there are still a few problems, they are being worked on. The login, logged in, login again dance is one of those problems.
Don't worry, Graham, your work is still on ABCtales.

Basically, abc has f**ked up. I'm not talking some itsy bitsy common-and-garden f**k up, I'm talking the Rolls Royce of all displays of incompetence. I wish they'd just say that instead of the usual "Oh I'm so stressed and so sorry we're doing our best" bollocks. Embarrassing. Just say, "We f**ked up, the site will do well to recover from this shambles, I'm sorry folks have been driven away in their droves and there's only a few newbies for whom the forum novelty hasn't worn off yet talking to each other. My dignity is over and I will now honorably take my own life by the sword of sweet pride."
That would be fair enough.

Dear Konfuse Ash - once again I'll say what I've said before - it is disgraceful that abc have let you down and you deserve a full refund.
Of course everyone involved is unhappy and tearing their hair out. I know how hard Tony and the rest work behind the scenes, having done my stint and this will be devastating to them; but having a pop at people when they are having a bad time is pathetic and beneath you, whoever you are.
A better response might be to ask if there is anything we can do to help?

Konfuse Ash, I used to be very impatient but this only made me feel worse and suspicious, a terribly disturbing mental condition that I tried hard to change. When you are patient you feel free and relaxed and you can see that your priorities in life have nothing to do with whatever made you impatient. Whatever the outcome may be, your calmness will help you become more patient next time. What a great coincidence that today abctales is -forgive me for the linguistic arbritrariness- "Uploadable" !
