How weird - youngest came back from Thailand. His album is on everywhere in NZ, Aus and Thailand - it's the backpacker's anthem this year. It sounded like sub Lenny kravitz to me in the car but that's my first listen. So far, not impressed.

He has five albums out, Tony, and they are all a bit different to each other. Which one are you listening to?

Not heard much of him, I was recommended him by someone with dodgy taste in music, so maybe thats clouding my judgement. But it seems to me he does what a lot of singer songwriters do, but not quite as well.

I first thought he was some cheesy US country singer. Then I heard, I think it's called Rodeo Clown, correct me if I'm wrong but I enjoyed that. He's a very crisp, fluent guitarist and has an atttractive, breathy voice, which is nice :)

Miles Davis recorded an album about Jack Johnson (the boxer). It's one of his best. Low down and funky. Sorry

All the albums apart from the newest one which sounds a bit formulaic are really good methinks. Particularly 'in between dreams' and 'on and on'. I can get tired of him but he sounds nice in the sunshine. Joe Tony - definitely not sub Lenny Kravitz. Nothing like him and what an insult!
