Here's a strange story. A woman in Georgia decided she didn't want to get married, so she took a bus to Las Vegas and then ended up in New Mexico.
When I first heard the story, it was reported she told her future husband that she was abducted, but now they are reporting that she told authorities she was abducted. The police in Georgia are contemplating criminal charges against her, but I wonder if she actually broke the law. If she told her fiance she was abducted, that may be different than reporting herself to the police as being abducted....this will be interesting to watch. Knowing the cops in Georgia, they'll probably try to prosecute her for something.

Making a false report to the police is a crime of some kind. I suppose the seriousnous would depend upon the nature of the report and the outcome. Fortunately, they did not arrest anyone for having abducted her. She'd be in very serious trouble for that.
I don't much care what the police do. I want to see if the future hubby still wants to marry her. I sure hope not. It looks to me like he learned the truth about her and not a moment too soon. What would happen if they had kids and she just took off one day and left them in the park to fend for themselves, for example? He'd spend the rest of his life looking over his shoulder wondering what she was going to do next. At this point, though, he looks to me like the luckiest man on earth on that particular day. Close call.

No she actually called the police with her fiance on the other line and reported that she was abducted. I cannot believe he still wants to marry that psycho chick....I can understand if she just ran away, called and said she just couldn't handle it but to tell the lie she told was just cruel to her family! I'd kick her to the curb so fast

Having just seen footage of the bride to be and her fiance on the news, surely they dont need to get married... they look as though they are already related.
