The mmm by Tara hanks

I really enjoyed this. The story is grounded in action, which almost seems a little too fast, but then this part of her life was crazy, breathless so the pace fits the character. I think i would have liked the photo-shoot scene with Milton slowed down, there was no space to develop the subtle sensuality that was hinted at. And also when she puts the baby to bed i imagine she would linger, wondering if she would ever be able to have a baby.

But a fascinating read revealing a plausible persona for the private side of Marylin Monroe. She has always fascinated me and from my limited knowledge of her life this seems to fit how i imagine her. vulnerable, compassionate, fragile but strong.
