Writers Market Leicester 9th December

i'll be appearing at the following event on Saturday. I'm on last - 7.30 hopefully when the audience are tiddly on mulled wine. Hopefully I won't be tiddly as I will be teetering on a kick stool for a stage... surely THAT is worth seeing?

Christmas Writers' Market at Frontline Books

Shoppers in need of a little rest and relaxation are
warmly invited to come along to annual open house
event and Writers' Market this Saturday 9th December
12-8pm at Frontline Books, 73 Humberstone Gate, Leicester.

Shani Lee, who runs Frontline Books
said - "We are Leicester's City Centre independent
bookseller and we'd love people to come along and see
what we have to offer. Our Christmas shop is crammed
with delightful gift ideas including a spread of books
by local writers. Fiction, non-fiction, poetry and
song books."

The Writers Market will feature well known local
writers, including Chris D'Lacey, Catherine Byron and
Margaret Penfold reading from their own work every
half hour and there'll be a chance to meet the writers
and even get them to sign their books. Ideal for that
very personal Christmas present.

"Writers and readers are closely interlinked and we
think our bookshop is the perfect place to bring them
together," said Shani. "We are convinced that creating
a community around reading and writing is as important
as selling books and this event is a brilliant
opportunity to show people how warm and friendly the
shop is."

Not only will shoppers be able to meet writers and buy
books, they will also be able to pick up stocking
fillers. Arujo eco-friendly wooden toys, Zaytoun
Palestinian oilve oil and gorgeous Moleskine Notebooks
and Diaries.

"In the garden, we'll have a gazebo and patio heater,"
said Shani, "with Wilf serving the best in mulled
wine, nice cups of tea and our own mince pies, for
anyone who wants a sit-down or who has finally caught
up with their friends after a busy year."

All in all an event not to be missed with the added
bonus of supporting Leicestershire Aids Support
Services and Salt of the Earth.
