'Go Ask Alice'
If you haven't read this book, please, please do! I bought it yesterday, and have read it twice already. It's the diaryof a young girl who's an acid addict. She kept her diary up until three weeks before she died of an overdose, and it's one of the most moving, thought-provoking and beautiful things I've ever read.

It's somewhat difficult to become addicted to acid, since in continuous use the effects cease after a few days no matter how much you take. Dying from it is not easy either, unless you are truly dedicated to the cause and wash it down with neat vodka.
A famous study in the 'sixties showed that trousers were more addictive than acid. That is, men deprived of their trousers showed much more acute withdrawal symtoms than chemical enthusiasts deprived of their acid, who on the whole showed none at all.
I just love drug myths, don't you? How do we know we live amongst the pygmies? Because we see their droppings everywhere.
