Show and Tell
Is telling always a faux pas? I' am writing a short story and a few sentences within the story - maybe 4 or 5 out of ten pages - sound like telling. I think they need to be in story for purposes of depth and character development. Am I making a big deal out of nothing?

I don't know... You've got to think yourselves, read your story an' try to understand if these passages fit or not, imagine you haven't written it, imagine you bought a book containing that particular story and, while you read it, try to understand if these sentences makes you say 'Uh! That's not good, there's something wrong or I just didn't understend it properly'.
