bit of a *%@!y hell day
This morning I tripped up whilst walking the dog. It was the sandals I was wearing. Put out my hands more quickly than I thought possible to stop myself falling flat on the gravel. Grazed the skin off one palm, skin off one knee, ripped my new kecks, and stunned my big toe, maybe broken maybe not, it's all swollen and purple. I am more annoyed about the trousers though.
However last night was not a *%@!ing hell day. I sold 4 paintings, 3 of them off my website. It sort of hurts to part with them though.
I congratulate you for your sale of paintings - I also paint and know how hard it is to part with paintings.
4 paintings.. congratulations. Post your website here Freda so we can take a look...
It IS hard to part with them , like putting your babies up for adoption. Especially if they've been hanging around the place for years. I'll have to do some replacements now.
well here goes .........
Oh Freda really sorry to here of your fall and hope you heal
quickly.
Not only a clever Lady but a dark horse with it will certainly
be trying to vist your website.
Do take more care and if it helps here is a big Hug from me.
Let us know how you are doing.
xx
I fell down like that about four years ago, hitting my elbow on the bricks. ouch. blood all over the place.... I slowed the bleeding and went to a walk-in clinic. They put stitches in. That took a long time to deal properly, but heal it did.
I am trying to sell my painting but no ones interested so far. They say the front door is the wrong colour and the gardens too big.
Missi not to sure what I would make of your paintings but
did like Freda's, myself I wouldn't have a clue where to
start...
Justyn understand about your fall taking a long time to heal,
as my sister a few years ago in her seventies took herself
off to exercise classes fall spained her wrist badly and that
took a took a year to get right and as she was still driving
she found this most difficult for a long time...
thanks Jay!
Justyn your fall sounds a lot worse than mine. I can actually bend my knee now and the skin is doing that horrible oozing as it reconstitutes. Unfortunately the sandals which caused the fall are the ones my swollen toe feels the most comfortable in.
The worst thing about falling is the shock. It doesn't happen often so an adult doesnt have the get up , bawl a bit , and play again reflex a toddler has. As you fall you imagine the hardness of the ground and as you walk away you keep reliving the imagination rather than the actuality. I did anyway. A bit like having nearly got run over.
