I wouldn't be surprised, not many here have my degree of self-control.

I don't know George, I think there were some quite nice moments of Burroughs cut-up madness in Jasper's post then, I rather liked it. Just because someone does offensive/stupid things doesn't mean that every time they speak you have to assume that they are offensive and stupid. When Radio first arrived, he was very bristly and prone to flaming, and he's now turned into quite a nice bloke to have around. Give Jasper the benefit of the doubt for a while longer.

Perhaps you're right Andrew, though his tirade against Liana on the other forum indicates he's not very nice. I accept that I'm not as tolerant as you, (or anyone else here it seems), and maybe I should zip my mouth for a while.

Of course she married the woodpecker Dan - who else would she marry? Gabriel? A banjo-playing swamp-dweller? Bagpuss - a narcoleptic cat with stuffing issues? I'll concede that Charlie Mouse is very dashing, but he is also very small and lives in very cramped accommodation on a mantelpiece. Yaffle is clearly the Alpha-Male and his income from lecturing on "Repair and maintenance of Ballet Shoes" "History of Porcu-pin cushions" and the like makes him a top earner.

Yeah, still a woodpecker though. I mean, what was it like when she brought him back to meet her parents? Guess who's coming to dinner, got any grubs. And where does he wear the ring, round his ankle like a racing pigeon? It's the children I feel sorry for.

So you have brought to the attention of all those who were not already following it the existence of that inanity. So you have given the collected pond life a little bit more PR. So you have done exactly what rita and others wanted: a response, preferably a critical or anoyed one. Haystack, were you in the slow-learner group at school?

You're looking at this the wrong way Dan - don't forget, Emily's parents invested all their loot in a shop that was a very unusual shop, that didn't sell anything. They must be grateful for any income that Prof Yaff can bring in, not to mention his learned mannerisms. The wedding ring was intricately crafted into the rim of one lens of Professor Yaffle's carved metal spectacles. The Prof makes a cameo in my new book and steals every scene he's in - swine!

i think it sound slike rita might be having some problems and sometimes you guys can be rude without realising. Some of you' gave me a lot of problems last year through some of the stuff you where saying to me although all be it you might not have realised what was going on in my life but still, i think you will realise this in the future. Try not be to insulting to people and remember that people might be having emotional or intelliegnt health issues in there lifes and if they are writers and use the site these problems might spill on to the forums. Try and remember that stephen and go easy on the insults.

You've already got your work cut out for you at home. A chill pill, a good Merlot (3 bottles) or Rohypnol may help you to ignore the windscreen bugs of the internet. You know who they are. My lips have been sealed.

I was thinking there and that post came out wrong. I had no right to sound so pretentious to stephen. what i was trying to point out was that: abusiveness can be and usually is a sign of inner pain and soemthing up in the persons life, i think the more wiser amongts us recognise that. It then begs the question why are us 'wiser' ones willing to drop to comments such as pondlife knowing that well inflames the situation. Lets imagine for a minute someone comes along and uses the site to post poetry and they stumble on the forums and enter debate. Imagine they have no-one round thme in there life yet there life is full of problems and pain and then they start to hear there name and insults at the end of it. What do you think that might do to a person. Just becasue you guys ahve string social networks wher you can talk and let go of the emotion inside that might prosper due to these forums and heated debate. Lets imagine this person also has never debated in such an arena 'while most of you are experienced at debating, lets say the person isn't online in there house yet gets in to a debate on the forums. This can be confusing to the person. As a homeless person comments like 'pondlife' offend me but im sue it was said in a casual way but it could be picked up bysomeone who is sensitive in there life as directed towards them. Come on guys were in 2005 your meant to be educated. The clientel and cathcment towards this site predicts that a lot of people will have social and personel problems who use this site 'incase you didn't realise' so i think this should be kept in mind, by all. Lets not plead ignorance to people with problems or otherwise we belittle the whole ethos of abctales.com.

im not being funny or anything like that but its true you need to watch. Abc advertsies itself as a site to deal with people who may be socially excluded...what do you think absue directed towards them might make them feel like........sorry guys you need to know, your only summarising about people aren't you, you just dont know. You need someone like myself whom you should employ as a full time mental health advice stratigist who can deal and understand people like that. None of you can and because of this the site is being damaged. Believe me the forums can work with more understanding directed towards people. I'm available if you need more constructive advice.

Stephen, has it ever occurred to you that one person may describe another as 'pondlife' for no other reason than that is how they see them? It isn't necessarily a sign of any inner pain or mental problem. Some humans just can't stand some others, it's as simple as that, and quite normal too.

oh come on mississppi we need to change for the kids of tomorrow we do dont we, me you everyone, your up for a reveloution. I think i understand what your saying though but i dont want to believe it, maybe, im just fooling my self, i dont know. Ok its easy to sow dislike but thats the trick. IT IS EASY TO DISLIKE where as it is harder to forgive and understand and even like and don't get me wrong this is not a christian perspective just one that i think that works. i mean lets face it your never going to meet most of the people you talk to but by trying to understand and act in kind words. Dont see it as weakness, thats what they want you to believe. Ok i can understand that. I dont like myself 90 % of the time recently so i can see why other people would dislike me but theres that 10% thats worth more than gold itself that if nurtutred given the chance will shed its light and it wants nurtured to find a place in society. Mississippi i know how easy it is to become the pond life to hate i know so do we all know but we need to watch to much hate everyone ssingle piece of hate adds up ok i know what it is like to hate, REALLY but i dont want to, i nver want to. I think if they gave me the choice i would rather die than live my life in hate and dislike. Some of the stuff i have said on these forums has been bang out of order. I have ha dno right to share my hateful thoughts yet i did maybe thats why im still about trying to prove to the forums that i can be part of the community without my problems and talk and debate ina dignified way. I haven't any right and no-one has to come on to abctales.com and disrupt it and I AM GUILTY OF THAT on many occasions but i wasn't well. Your a strong person mississippi there is no denying that. Your voice and understanding of life could impact positively on others if you wanted it to be that way just like mine just like abctales.com is doing for others. I am starting to believe that every word in life counts somewhere along the line and thats scary when i think of some of the hateful nonsense i have uttered but anyway it is a bit sad if people come to the forums and bully themselfs on and tsart swearing ect it is sad. abctales.com is so much more than that. It is a credible palce and exactly why its the only writers site i use on the www. i hope the forums get better and the site gets back to normal because there is a lot of hard work put in to it and that should be commended and admired for what it is. Well done guys keep up the good work.

Dislike and hatred are not the same thing. The first can just be a mild feeling that holds no great passion but is directed at something/someone that another person would prefer not to have anything to do with. The second infers a passionate feeling so strong that it provokes active thoughts and schemes to bring about the downfall of the object of the hatred. Dislike mostly doesn't require the expenditure of any great amount of energy but hatred does, in other words. Not all hatred is destructive, in fact it can be a force for good when directed at certain forms of human behaviour despised by law-abiding people. For example to describe the likes of Hussein or Mugabe as pond-life is mildly insulting to the creatures in the pond, and hatred is well-focused in their cases. The sooner the hatred felt world-wide for the evil bastard in Africa results in his demise the better for everyone. I would add, that like you, I don't care for who I am or what I do most of the time either. I'm also not a 'strong' person, just someone who can't keep their big mouth shut most of the time. You have to accept that there are all kinds of people with their own agendas in this world, and some of them are irreversably evil and down-right bloody nasty. I don't believe any of them come here though. Having said that, there are any number of annoying bastards here, the identities of whom vary from person to person. I've no doubt that I'm high on a number of lists, but I can't change who I am to suit others anymore than you can.

Personally, I deliberately oppose the popular viewpoint in order to rile people into debate. It's a speciality of mine. I like it. Rita gets a kick out of what she does. If she didnt, she wouldnt be here. Takes all types, and that's a good thing, unless the forums would be as boring as fuck!

Yes Alum, because posting unpleasant remarks about hoping people miss flights and long strings saying "We're infilitrating and taking over" has been so fucking fascinating. Thanks for brightening the place up, you muppet. You're not annoying, you're just dull. Of all the trolls we've had here, you've been the most pointless.

He was probably between 'mushing' and 'chicken-choking', Andrew. There's not much time in his pathetic life for much else. Still, after home-education, his daughter will be an expert in self-gratification at least.

I believe he stresses the first syllable of the second word. Other than that he's entitled to a second persona as we all are, or in your case flashgit, several.
