Fave item of clothing
Mine is a Marks and Sparks, off-white vintage zip fronted jacket. It was made in the fifties and I bought it from a charity shop a few years ago for £3. I only wear it when I feel like I can get away wih it.
It's very beat, if you know what I mean.
You?
Your red boxers finally wore out?
I have this M&S striped long sleeved shirt with a slight textured material, that started off green and white when I first bought it in the early eighties... very soon after it got transformed to green and pink in my sister in laws machine wash in Spain.... uniformly so.
I still have it, and it is ideal for hot summer, rolling about in grass wear...
Dont start with the red pants spider. You'll have me welling up.
I have a pair of dark red socks. These, I am assured by a historian of byzantium art off the telly, guarantee my entry into heaven.
I have al tassled leather coat that I love because it has a hood.
I get a bit sick of people saying "Oh, look it's Robin Hood!" especially since it's black and not Lincoln Green. It cost me £10 secondhand and I found a £1 coin in the lining - bargain!
I have a pair of shoes with lilies all over them.
Much classier than they sound in print.
I also have a long winter coat that's scarlet red, like the one she wears in Chocolat. I love that coat. It is the only reason for mourning the coming of spring.
My ten year old ultra red trendy nike tracksuit jacket....admired by all.
very beat...lol. If only william burroughs could hear ya now.
Mine has to be a pair of goretex walking boots I bought about 5 years ago. They ooze character the older they get.
My Scooby-Doo boxer shorts
the mohair sweater my mum knitted me in 1971 and that I still wear at least 3 or 4 times each winter
my favorite article clothing is a black GAP turtleneck of ribbed cotton. I get one every year or so...IMO no matter the occasion I can usually get away with this one item it wears well with just about EVERYTHING!
Also don't ask me why but I get a couple of pair of Anne Klein flats in patent leather every year also...
at the moment mine is a VERY long linen shirt that i spent an absolute FORTUNE on about four years ago ... ( i rarely buy clothes and this was an impulse buy when i was earning money for a change) ... it was white and i kept being mistaken for a doctor and feeling i looked like an ice floe ...
so i dyed it blue ... and i didnt like it ...
now i have dyed it black and i can't stop wearing it ...
my favourite legendary item of clothing is a pair of dungarees i had in the early eighties ... i love love loved them ... about 5 years ago one of the boys discovered them in a bag in the loft and wore them until they fell apart ...
