G8 protests begin

Well this is it. We're never going to get a better chance. Every Scottish city is ready. From today the peacefull direct action protests begin. It would be naive of us to think that the city of Glasgow, one of the poorest citys in europe with an abnormal rate of child poverty, drug addiction and all things related to poverty would not be at the begining and surely at the end of this years protests. Stand to gether and set the world an example.

No to the past no to poverty and no to poverty and human rights abuse of all citizens of all colours of all races, in the UK or where ever. I have a piece of work being performed in a Glasgow theatre early june, a 7 minute piece on the theme of 'who's streets our streets, whos world our world', i hope it will become our piece of work, 'whos work our work'. Stand together be peaceful, sing street theatre all across Glasgow8.

Scotland says No to poverty

hey i'm scritping some of this in to a drama i'm starting to write called 'protest' it is an nintey minute comedy drama set in scotland and around a group of scots student protestors who are gearing up for the G8. It's some script, some of the forums posts can be quite inspiring for scripting.

sorry *blushes* see seriesly, i have heard, right, and i can quite well believe that some series violence is being planned on Scotlands streets that day. So how do we stop it. I have a plan. I reckon this years G8 protests will be the most violent protests ever seen on western soil. On the day of the main protests the Orange order march in there yearly marches in Glasgow, which attracts over 20,000. They're gearing up for it. It's a shame really. We could stop it before it begins and it is worth stopping because some reckon if it really starts it's not going to stop. I don't really see the poin tin the protests as i have said there are cities in Scotland which are classed amongst the poorest in Europe So if they come why not do some direct action good work for Scotland. Why do the protestors not all come to Glasgow and help clean the cities hospitals, which are amongst the dirtiest in the western world. Last week an outbreak of mrsa closed down a heart and lung hospital ward just near where i live, a women died who contracted the disease. Funnily enough last year i walked by the hospital every day for a month and see toxic rubbish sitting outside an open window during the month of July. I went in and complained to the hospital after i seen flies flying in to the hospital windows, seriesly. They looked at me blankly like they didn't give a toss and gave some ignorant reply. the city of Glasgow is continually trying to cover up the outbreaks of mrsa in the city of Glasgow which some reckon over the last ten years has killed over 1000 people, mainly oaps. An investigation team in the Uk should get on to it. Glasgows dirty hospitals and the thicko staff they employ who can't even be bothered to wash there hands. They reckon a series outbreak is coming that is going to leave babys dead. *Panaroma* or someone should get on to what is being said in the Scottish papers and what happened last week in the western hsopital Glasgow and how the city of glasgow is saying that an outbreak of mrsa is going to shut down wards housing babys and oaps and why theyre not doing enough to stop it. OF course of Course it's Glasgow council. The Uks only untouchable city council *yawns* we'll find them all at the protest marches OR at parkhead or ibrox all talking about poilitics yet there city is the biggest bin in western Europe. Last year an independant authority said that hopsitals in India where cleaner than hospitals in Glasgow. So why can't the protestors come and help clean our hospitals for the day insetad of erupting a war on to our streets. why can't they come in to our poor housing estates and give messages of hope for the day. Bring sweets for the poor kids in Glasgow and edinburghs poor estates, help lighten there wee poor lifes. Why not. Instead there going to come and wreck the country. THE Whole thing stinks Ok. What about my self harm groups i am still trying to start theyre still not there. My piece at the theatre is not whos streets but on male self harm and why and how. It is very emotive. I URGE ALL G8 PROTESTORS IN SCOTLAND OVER THE THREE DAYS TO BRING TOYS AND MONEY FOR GLASGOW AND EDINBURGHS POOR KIDS WHOS MOTHERS MIGHT BE ADDICTED TO DRUGS AND WHO CANT AFFORD TO BUY THERE CHILDREN MUCH. I HAVE MET THEM. I URGE PROTESTORS TO MEET ME IN THE BYRES ROAD AREA ON THE 6 JULY WITH TOYS AND MONEY AND GIFTS AND WE'LL WALK UP THE ROAD TO ONE OF GLASGOWS AND THE UKS POOREST AREAS AND WE WILL GIVE PEOPLE GIFTS TO SHOW THE REAL SPIRIT OF THE G8 PROTESTS. I KNOW YOU GUYS HAVE A BIT OF CLOUT. MAKE SURE THIS IS READ BY ALL AND URGE PEOPLE TO COME UP TO GLASGOW THAT DAY WITH THIS IN MIND *sighs* when oh when are we going to learn. The reveloution starts with one good action and on that action another stems then another and before we know it these actions are triggering and cascading in to some thing beutiful, the spirit of man and his good deeds. rise up.

Stephy, people are dying from MRSA all over Britain, I had an aunt die from it in Southend General Hospital (supposed to be one of the best, most modern hospitals in East Anglia) in recent years. With regard to the G8 meeting, firstly I don't know when it is exactly, secondly from your account so far it's going to be a civil war, and I have no intention of being a part of a riot, and lastly I wouldn't need (nor would I accept) the bribe of a room in a poncy hotel to take part in a protest. I wish you luck however, and stop that bloody silly blushing too, it does nothing positive for your image here.

Yes, G8 is a fat gurning wifebeater. I have few fond memories of him playing out his career at Goodison Park, but who could forget that goal against Scotland during Euro '96. Bit of class, huh? That's my G8 protest over. (Well, one of the footy fans was gonna do the joke, might as well get it over with.)

*curtseys mischeviousley and enters* dear diary day 623 a step nearer to global breakdown. nah i was thinking cause i reckon weve all got our parts to play here *glances about* see really we need to try and make positive steps here, as writers?arteests weve got our parts to play anyway i was 'thinking' what if, right, what if we all blew up balloons in Glasgow and Edinburgh and made it the biggest ever 'balloon release' in hosory, right, we could all ties messages of 'hope' to them and never know where they might end up *crikey* they could even end up on 'ur'anus, who knows. But we need to try and it could be round the th=me of stop violence or we could all joing up and light candles during the night of the g8, the biggest ever candle link up for peace. Seriesly i think the direct action should mena people who are coming to protest should do something positive not just wreck the place. the place is already a wreck anyway ! Scotland i mean. So lets come and do something positive. whos streets, our streets, peaceful streets..

and mississippi, i am angry, angry at everything but first and foremost i am a writer and a writer of contraverial subjects. One of the few if not the only one in Scotland and of course local authority in Glasgow and Scotland take offence to writers like me, its not like England a much more democratic country. It's a pity nicola sturgeon didn't do more when i seen her two years ago and told her about the human rights issues surrounding self harm yet two years later bbc scotland in a programme cover what i had been sending media for three years eventually talk about it. do you know how many people lost the lifes in that three year period due to there ignorant outlook on a series illness. I am mr angry but fighting not to be. Im trying to get over what these local services done and said to me in that three year period. My plays and screen plays cover this and they tell the truth something which is presently missing from modern scottish society. Wether the site choses to ignore me is up to them but you all know what i am saying and what i was saying was right. I lost the plot when i was being dragged through the police stations and prisons. As someone who suffered from self harm i am lucky to be alive considering they where putting me in cells with razor blades in barlinne at the height of my illness. I am awriter . I write drama, poetry plays and screenplays. I am nice guy. I try and help people if i can and i don't judge them and i certainly don't kick a man when he is down *looks at some abc members and Glasgow authority* its just not in me to do that. I try and use comedy in my work all be it dark to highlight series issues in our society. In life i want to meet a nice female writer because i am nice guy, that's the way it is thats what i strive for and to get over what i went through in this country while trying to deal with self harm. I don't see anyone in else in the Uk who is talking about the things i am talking about to with G8. A ballon release or canldes across scotland night or taking goods in to glasgows poor schemes on g8 day. I dont hear anyone else saying it. Do you. Scotlands not like England. writers in England have much more a chance in everything. I build bridges its a pity others dont.

*bites finger nail nervesouley and enters* I was thinking just there. Looks like every pyscopath in the northern hemisphere *and beyond* is heading to scotland this year. Put all these with the 6 million that already live there and there could possibly be ingrediants for some trouble *eyes flicker excitedly* thats why i am trying urgently to get more people involved with my G8 'peace on the streets' intenary. Help us blow up lots of balloons in Glasgow and edinburgh that day say at about 3pm. And listen to this, if we arrange right for a chain of people to line up between glasgow and edinburgh at say 9pm and light candles, hey they might even be able to see us from space *crikey* and that could mean that the people who are thinking of fighting that day might not becasue theyll all want to be aprt of the candles across scotland .Maybe if some kind of authority figures could help and open up this discussion via abc we could arrange some peaceful action.
