'the' bands

Are you, like me, really fed up of buying music? Every CD released since 1997 seems to be by some band called the something. Reading the roster for T in the Park this year, I resolved not to buy a CD 'til some sort of invention came along. I get depressed when I hear something good by one of these 'the' bands, very infrequently.

does anyone know about m83's new album?

I like Cake. I've heard there's also a popular music band of that name.

Well, golly, I sure used to love THE Cure, way back before Bob Smith went off the kooky edge. I also like THE Kinks, THE Pretenders, and THE Spice Girls. And what about THE Who? Or THE Rolling Stones? Or THE Lawrence Welk Orchestra? Don't they count? Just kidding about THE Spice Girls.
