How do you find the time?

I'm glad to see that the forums (should that be fora?) attract so many people to join in and swap ideas, views, jokes etc. and I'm sure it helps to make people feel part of the 'ABCtales family'. I occasionally get time to read snippets which I often find entertaining, but I've rarely joined in as the time I have for writing is so limited by my job and family committments. I'm therefore amazed at the diversity of subject, wit and humour displayed which must take a fair bit of time to join in with and get into the 'forum culture'.
Perhaps it's all part of the current way of life with emails, text messaging etc. that people feel a constant need to communicate and 'keep in touch'. I have always thought of writing as a fairly solitary occupation, but perhaps it's all changing. I've already spent far too long just writing this, when I could have been working on my writing - or is this just another way of working on my writing? RSVP.

Writing is a solitary business. That's why it's good to spend a few virtual minutes with other people every now and then.

When I used to drive a lot, I always appreciated a severe toothache to keep me awake so that I wouldn't fall asleep at the wheel. Now that I've achieved Steven Hawkings mode, I no longer have to worry about work. Poor you!
