comment and I'll comment back
I want writers to read my work, rate it and then send their comments to me. In return, I'll rate your work and comment on it. I'm a fairly serious writer and I take the time to write carefully and meaningfully. I've gotten a pretty good readership on another site, www.lit.org but almost nobody has read my work on this site. So I guess this is a call to kindred writer spirits who feel they haven't gotten very much exposure on this site.
what ever happened to 'comment and il comment back'???? it is obvious to me that you had know intention of returning the favour.please to not make false promises.
good luck with your writing anyhow

sean i found 'enlightenment is a cup of coffee' umm how shall i put it...different. this in itself is not a bad thing. i found it uninteresting as i couldnt find a plot to follow, it was unstructured(is that a word?) and basically did you know justice. whereas 'girl in the coffeeshop' was exceedingly well written. it was interesting a good read. i found it a very truthful account of the 'typical lad', well done.
keep writing

me again! ljust read 'walk in lithia park' excellent piece of writing, i thouroughly enjoyed it (when i managed to trudge my way through it) it was quite long but also enjoyable and not in the least boring.
its was very original and cleverly written.
favourite bit?? the bit with the mermaids and the sea shell game! lol, what a typical girl huh?
i feel you are very talented, you use slightly different techniques for each of the pieces i read which tells me you havent been writing all that long, a few years maybe.
keep up the good work sean.
get back to me.

Hello Holly. This is a bit naughty as it's a thread discussing seannelson's work, but I am impressed with your critical ability. Can I please have some comment on one of my pieces in return for my (fairly detailed) critique of your It's My Life piece? If you have time, could you please let me know what you think of my piece "Collateral Damage" at:
http://www.abctales.com/abcplex/viewStory.cgi?s=19709
You can post it in the "Immaculata" thread if you like or just e-mail me if you prefer.
Thanks.
sirat.
Oh, yeah, just to be perfectly clear. My screenname is seannelson and my e-mail is Seanspacey@hotmail.com
You're suggestion that 'Enlightenment is a cup of coffee' has some merit and is certainly worthy of further consideration.
On the theme of heated beverages, I liked the story about the girl in the coffee shop.
I've just found this "Peer-to-Peer critique" thing on the front page. It's probably been there for a while as I usually skip past the front page on my way to somewhere else and don't really read it. Anyway, the idea is, if you want a critique you add your name and a couple of titles to the list and when someone reviews your piece you review one of theirs in exchange. I've just given it a try, I sent dazzle a review of "Memories of a Dead Woman" and asked him to have a look at my sci fi piece "Bottom Feeders". This is probably quite a good way to organize it. I'm also in a writers' group where we do exactly the same thing but with a few other elements added in. You can find the peer reviews section at:

Am not a serious writer but I do when to use 'your' and not 'you're'. Sorry about that one.
Hi David,
I just checked out some of your work. I like your poetry. "Darren Doesn't Love Me Anymore" was my favorite but for what it's worth, I also liked Ethelred the Unready.
I'm glad you liked "Girl in Coffeeshop". That one got cherried recently. Um... A Walk In Lithia Park is my favorite of my works but it's too long for most people to to want to read. No matter. Oh yeah, that "I'd like to thank Jesus but he's dead" line is pretty good. Did you think that one up?
