Synopsis

Does anybody know of any useful links/publications that give tips on writing a good synopsis? I'm struggling with mine - how do you condense a 140 thousand word novel into a couple of thousand and still make it sound interesting?

Mark, I can just about understand what you are getting at - how can a writer, try to describe his own work. In my experience, trying to get across what the book is about the worse part. I have found myself rewriting a synopsis time and time again. But don't give up, and I'm sure someone regular at this site will only be to happy to help out. Good Luck.

The synopsis is the most important piece you'll ever write. Stick at it. Andrea's suggested link is a good one. Also you'll find useful books touching on the subject in your local library. Stick at it. Get it right. The synopsis is vital. Good luck. Neil neilmarr@bewrite.net
