May not be published but I am on an album

As a member of Sam Brown's International Ukulele Club of Sonning Common I'm proud to be playing on father Joe's 'The Ukulele Album'. Not all the tracks but a good seven out of fifteen. Great fun recording last December and glad it's finally out. An excellent record covering the likes of 10cc, Motorhead, The Who, Chas & Dave and The Travelling Wilbury's. Not bad for a chap who took the 'leaping flea' as a hobby after listening to Tom Hodgkinson on Radio 3.

Yes, I'd love to listen too! I adore the whole process of recording and it can be incredibly fulfilling to hear the final product.
I still possess a whole set of 78 records of Troise and his Banjoliers. Anyone heard of them? Not the same as the ukelele of course (2 of my grandsons play ukes too) but just thought I'd throw this into the mix on a wet sunday before popping off to a Merseybeats concert! Linda

Here is a live version sans Joe at Cornbury 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OfPQPXT524 Members of IUCSC include Jess and The Gents http://www.jessandthegents.com/ , Naomi Vallance http://www.facebook.com/NaomiFVallance (You can hear her on her myspace page.), Lynne Butler (an excellent yodeller) http://www.lynnebutler.co.uk/ and Sandy Hill (who left the club a while ago) http://www.sandyhill.co.uk/ Sam Brown has 3 ukulele clubs which can be found here http://www.thefabulousukuleleclub.com/ and she talks about them here http://www.pennyblackmusic.co.uk/MagSitePages/Article.aspx?id=6511 A wonderful inspirational woman. Those 78s sound wonderful. I've inherited a good collection of shellacs from my late uncle. Bought an HMV gramaphone in August with big horn. Love it!
