No, not the poem (though its not bad)
The fact that its a new writer is good, very good, but thats not the remarkable thing either.
The remarkable thing, is that in the 24 hours its been posted on ABC, its been read 58 times and starred very positively by 46 readers.
That really is remarkable feat for a new contributor, so very well done.

It's not bad: quite a witty little piece. But why do I find it so hard to believe in those ratings? Is urine being extracted in this instance, I ask myself?

Fantastic poem. A number of possibilities here: 1/ she hasn't shown it to her boyfriend; 2/ she has and he now hates her; 3/ it's tit for tat and he's writing nasty things about squeezing the life and spirit out of her also; 4/ he's a naturally submissive type, or 5/ she's slowly ground him down to the point where he's lost all interest in life and will accept anything in exchange for a quiet life. In any case, good work that girl!

its now 76 times..and the rating is definitely smack bang in the middle...i never take notice of ratings beyond a snapshot of reactions...but given that the ratings are unqualified and abstract...i can't feel any different about a piece of work based on those alone...but when i get emails..those i take notice of...c'est bien.
i thought this poem had a lot of promise, but the analogy became worn, threadbare, about six lines in, for me.
