ABC Urban Legend or Painful truth
All these "facts" have emerged on abctales...are they true or are they jokes/urban legends...do you have any more???
1. Allison Dunne aka Fish once wrote a cheque to abctales made payable to "Bludgeon Creative Ideas"
2. Poetjude was once a "Hare Krishna"
3. Larph and Missis shook hands at last event (do we trust Martin_t's eyewitness account?)
4. Mo Mowlam has a story in abc situ
You get pissed on..........basically.
8: Ralph and Missi did a cover of the 'Sonny and Cher,' hit 'I Got You Babe,' at the most recent ABC event.
9: Emma was working undercover at the last abctales event, gathering stories.
Ah, were you the unusually attentive barmaid? I knew there was something scribbly about her.
No, the only time I went behind the bar was when I pulled a pint into a half-pint glass.
That iceman is incapable of holding his liquor...
What was the thread called, Martin. There's a chance I may just have it saved in my blackmail folder.
i saw that thread ...
it wasn't something about fantasies i think...i can't remember what it was called
I've read Mo Mowlam's story about Whiskey - in fact, urban myth number 5, there was once an abc print magazine available in Body Shop, which I had a copy of and which contained a poem from Ivoryfishbone called Eating Oranges, and Whiskey was also in that.
they kissed too.....
6. Mark Brown is a middle aged man pretending to be in his twenties. This was told to me by someone at the last live event.
Gosh, Mark Brown, if that was me (can't remember) then it was most definitely meant as a compliment to your vast intelligence
And they were both up a tree.
Number 4 is true, at least the story was in the print addition. I might still have a copy. The print mag was distributed in the Body Shop for a while.
Is the one about Marc Almond true.........the one where................sorry it's too disgusting.
7. Martin_t started a thread about his mate (yeah right) whose ultimate fantasy was Gloria Hunniford giving him a golden shower. It was one of the first threads to be deleted. So you'll never know if I'm lying.
i'm still hurt by that deletion, stormy was one of the few to see it before it's demise.....
you see my mate had his fantasy about.......
*better not bring back all that pain*
Whassa golden shower?
martin..please tell me judith.eydman@ft.com
