Mini pub quiz

A sample of quezzies from my local pub quiz.

Remember, Billy Quiz has a magic computer that can magically detect when you are googling, and as punishment you will be magicked out of existence with a potent magic spell.

1) In which town did Desperate Dan live?
2) Who is the only footballer to have scored hatricks for three Premiership sides? (...it might have been four, three or four anyway...)
3) Rearrange Kid Helium to find a famous German.
4) To which magazine did Shane Ritchie sell exclusive rights to his wedding? (Easy one for some people on here...)
5) Which song starts with the words "I heard you on the wireless back in 63?"
6) Who explained the reason for his/her small feet as: nothing grows in the shade?
7) What is Mike Baldwin's factory called in Coronation Street?
8) Which comedian managed nineties indie-glam outfit Suede?
9) Who owned the number plate 1 KO?
10) Which eighties film features a holiday camp, a talent contest, and a backstreet abortion? (That was my own quezzie!)

Best of British to you all...

no texting! (the scourge of the modern pub quiz, pah...)

The answers by the way (not that it looks like anyone is too bothered) were: Carbone (they were all Premiership teams when he scored hatricks for them) and Chris Eubank (1 KO number plate) ...thanks for playing. And the winners this week are...the abc team! Can a member come and collect your gallon of beer, as represented by old faded raffle tickets. (Valid on quiz nights only.)

2 is Alan Shearer, surely - he scored a hattrick for Southampton (I think on his debut), I'm sure he did it for Blackburn, and he must have done it for Newcastle. Although I have a suspicion I heard this on Five-Live and it was someone stupid like Daniel Dickio (or was that to score for three Premiership sides in one season?) 4. Big Issue. 6. Dolly Parton (Liana's answer of Underworld is the most random thing I've ever seen. Ah, it is to number 7 - I was looking for a music question that it was the answer to)

Yes, to 4, 6, and 7...no to 2 (not Shearer, think European...) P.S. it wasn't '63 for Video Killed...it was '52: not that that would stop google success...not implying out...

The year at the end of the Video Killed line... It was '52, not '63 as I claimed in the question (anti-google measure)...
