it will not be agreed...
measures to stop global warming that is according to Tony Blair last night...
It is kind of sad but understandable. What would you do if you could?
Condition our children to appreciate simplicty.
Cut industrial surplus, cut working hours, cut pay, provide fields of poppies for us to play
I saved £11.28 by doing my shopping at Netto instead of Tesco. Does that count?
think it's already too late to stop global warming, and not much anybody can do, unless everybody in the world is willing to take responsibility for it and care about the environment; still I read that the biggest contributor to global warming is cows farting; maybe if a large percentage of the world stopped eating steak and beef, then we would have less cattle, and less emmisions; but if it's not global warming, it's something else, we all might as well face it, we've fucked up and we're gonna pay the consequences, shame it it'll be on our childrens heads though and not ours, i mean we've nearly sucked the earth dry of oil, i think the oil is there for a reason, which we will no doubt discover when there's none left, maybe the oil acts as suspension for the land, I don't know, but there's gonna be trouble...
As Mark Theroux said - We are no longer fighting to control nature, we are now defending ourselves against it's wrath.
That was an interesting documentary. I can't remember when it was on (about 3 weeks ago, I think) and what channel, I've no idea. Don't know what it was called, but poignant statement rang home.
Here's another quote from Jurassic Park, the movie - "Nature always finds a way."
Unfortunately for us - we don't :(
I am in agreement with a lot of academics...that there is not much we can do therefore we should employ money somewhere more useful and immediate such as the AIDS epidemic in Africa and Asia
I think shackleton that if we die as a species it won't be a bad thing, humans don't really do much good, we just tend to take without considering that the wild is a living breathing thing that feels pain; at least whales and tigers don't drop bombs on each other, build uninspiring grey cities to replace the beauty of the land; or tear down forests to make paper or pollute the water and the air with the filth of industrial evolution...
i am not proud to be a human, i am deeply ashamed.
