something only you can do
I've had writer's constipation for months and even Ely's Enema didn't help matters.
Can any one think of 4-6 short poetic lines something along the lines of you are unique and your life is a call to do something extraordinary that Only you can do!
its for a thing I'm doing ...any help muchas appreciated
Being You
(a short poem knocked up by Hayley in 30 seconds and therefore of no use to anyone whatsoever, and for that I'm sorry)
Once upon a time your
dad met your ma
and they twinkled
in the dark.
And before that
his dad met her ma and
her dad met her ma
and that went on and on and on
back until the beginning
(when there was only one dad and one ma, but how
unlikely is that for a concept, eh?).
Just think: if your dad hadn't
ejaculated
at exac-tly the moment he did and
your mum hadn't faked it after five minutes because
she fancied a kip
then you wouldn't be you
so you must be something special, else
what's it all about?
Congrats. You're you.
Now 'do'.
if we're being particular (and seeing as I knocked that out as I went along we're probably not) line 6 should read: his dad met his ma
It's wonderful Fergal...but it's for a Church website so I'd have to blank out ejaculated
...and put in the more conservative * Dad had a white wee wee*
Everyone is special and unique in their own way.
But Jude is super special and cheers us every day.
A spiritual scientist who's on course to be a nun.
Yet finds the time to make us laugh and join in all the fun.
A gift from God to light our lives and demonstrate to all.
That you can still be fun and cool while answering God's call ;o)
I'm blushing smiley but as I'm making the web site it may be seen as a tad egocentric!
:o)
Here is the one by Newman...but everyone knows it...I want something unique
.."He has committed some work to me which he has not committed to another. I have my mission-- I may never know it in this life, but I shall be told it in the next. I am a link in a chain, a bond of connection between persons. I have not been created for nothing. Therefore, I will trust. Whatever, wherever I am. I cannot be thrown away."
a prize of two pints and my prayers for a week...!!!
have you tried looking at greeting cards in the drugstore?
I just hope I don't find that my work was to save all of Africa or engineer lasting world peace but instead I squandered all my gifting on writing smutty short stories.
When your life is writ,
there will just be the one story,
And it will be the one you have lived,
As opposed to the one you wished you did.
The story of me.
But more than that,
When the video of me is finally replayed,
The faces and situations will be the same,
The smiles and grimaces exactly as before.
Forevermore.
And the realisation that will tumble?
They were ALL me, my story, every single one of them!
And the question that will form?
Did I treat them like they were an indivisble part of me?
So choose what you can do wisely,
while you still can.
As EVERY moment counts,
All encounters are fixed for eternity,
In the unfolding fabric of the universe.
The angel said that both sides had been seraching for me - using every excuse to get DNA samples - searching for the telltale gene. That now nothing could hurt me if my faith was strong enough. That all I needed to do was to survive long enough for the metamorphosis to be completed... but would I become a god or a devil? Was I to be Christ or Anti-Christ? ;o)
Life is a journey of your heart and mined.
A calling that awaits the footprints of
your passage through time.
An adventure that only you may take
as one of a kind.
Life awaits the meaning that only you may find.
*Did I mention I'm not a poet Jude*
Sorry, Jude, I realised in retrospect that far from being unique my offering was in fact essentially the plot of Sky1's Hex ;o)
thanks guys...1leg that's fab...and John as well. I hope using them won't offend your copyright!
Smiley, I love "The angel said that both sides had been seraching for me - using every excuse to get DNA samples - searching for the telltale gene. "
Denver...is drugstore the past tense of draggedstore? Sorry!
I'll show you all the site when it's done!
I rather like :- Here I am... What are the odds?
(That's actually something that arrived so comfortably, I'm afraid that I might have read it somewhere else, but I don't think so, I've a good memory for that sort of thing)
