Checking in to see what condition my condition is in...
Hello abc people... I haven't been here for a long while, but I finish my job as a lawyer tomorrrow and rejoin society as someone useful and worthwhile. At least, that's the plan, anyway.
I'm moving to Spain for a bit, to see how that pans out. I figure I'm likely to get a bit lonely out there, so if any of my old buddies fancies dropping me a line from time to time, I'll respond with chirpy comments about the weather and tapas bars...

I was recently off sick for two weeks with the first of a series of heinous chest infections, and discovered the joys of daytime telly and 'A Place in the Sun'. I decided that I must be mad to want to try to buy a shoebox in a wet and cold country for an average house price of 240,000 pounds, when I could *instead* buy a large house on three acres of olive trees in the inland mountains for 120,000 pounds. I speak Spanish fairly well, like the culture, would avoid being a part of the expat brigade, etc. So I'm very excited for you... let us know what the -difficulties- are, as well, if you could! (I'm sure there will be a few, but hopefully not too many...)

If only I would get in a plane. Ain't gona happen. A girlfriend of mine has just bought a place in southern Spain. It would be nice to just fly there. Ain't gonna happen.
