New Europe Writers (www.new-ink.org) has embarked upon a long-term project to highlight contemporary writing in the New Europe through a series of volumes centered on various cities. Bucharest Tales is the fourth book in this series, following Warsaw Tales, Prague Tales, and Budapest Tales. Each volume contains short stories and poems written both by expats and by local writers. Our editorial policy is to select writing that offers the reader a sense of the place.
