Well, Tony, you held my attention with this short and sweet piece. Well written! Makes me think of the simpler life I never had. You have a great way of telling a story.

Dear Barry,
Thankyou very much. It was written on my laptop whilst thousands of others attempted to climb on top of me on a journey that should take a maximum of an hour and a half and often took four hours plus during this the winter. Whatever else can be learnt from the trials and tribulations of British public transport then take this essential all ye of other nations - never, ever privatise your public transport system.
Must go and get a train!
