"with a St. Pauli Girl in a paper bag dress" ...Is that a girlee magazine or what? And Red hook ......is that wine or a beer over yonder? I also knew a girl once who liked to suck face! But from what I heard, Josephine claimed he came up short in far more places than just Waterloo! Interesting S...now spill the beans!

I just edited it to make it a more polished piece. "Red Hook" is a quality beer as is "St. Pauli Girl." The poem is really just about a scraggly but sweet dog I petted outside the minute market. Jasper, I really appreciate you taking the time to read this one; I really worked hard on it.

Ahhhhh....I was hoping St Pauli was a girlee mag.......it would give both the puppy and the Scarlet Lady on the end of a chain, credence here in this one, S....Red Hook need not be defined......if you know what I mean? But if it's only a dog...I'll accept your O as such... lol! I really admire you work, S....I get bombarded with a plethora of flora and fauna all at once!

Jasper, I am aware of alternative ways this poem could be read. While I was just thinking of the friendly dog when I wrote it, it's not my role to guide the interpretation of my poems. And you can't know how much your "admiration" means to me. I write to be read.
