All the presidents Men.

Re All the presidents men. Hi I watched this film last night for the first time, and what a bitchin' ending. I never saw that one coming.

Well it wasn't Linda Lovelace that's for sure, and as it was almost certainly a guy, he wouldn't appeal to many anyway.

Hmm. It's a dull ending for a movie, for sure, which is a shame as it's otherwise a brilliant film. [The spiraling panning-out shot from above in the Library of Congress when they're going through card indexes was also copied in an episode of the Simpsons, I recall]. Of course this gets a person started on "hack movies" - films where lead protagonists are reporters. I love 'em, me. * All the President's Men * Capricorn One (Elliot Gould) * Defence of the Realm (Denholm Elliott and Gabriel Byrne) * A Very British Coup (Keith Allen) The latter is now available on DVD, by the way, should a person want a copy (Tony). Any others?

ooh - yes - I loved that 'film' - it was a TV series if I remember correctly. Written by Chris Mullen who then went on to be a junior minister in the Blair administration. Ho Hum.

The movie didn't stick precisely to the book, Hollywood always has to 'adjust' the plot to display their 'stars' to the best advantage. Compared to the book, the movie was crap.
