New Community for Freelance Writers

Creative writers from the four corners of the globe can now say goodbye to self-imposed isolation! Without leaving their draughty garrets they have the chance to network with like minded individuals, post up work for peer review and access a huge range of writing resources designed to hone and perfect all levels of writing skills.

After months of planning by a team of specialist web programmers, Writelink’s new community website is up and running and already proving a big hit with existing members.

To celebrate the site’s re-vamp a launch week of competitions is being run to help new users find their way around the new site with prizes coming from some of the web’s top writers.

The Look on the Bright Side humorous verse competition has a copy of Nick Daws’
Write Any Book in Under 28 Days plus 3 copies of his brand new Quick Cash Writing course for the runners up.

How much do you know about the literary greats? Writelink’s literary quiz will test your mettle! 25 questions on matters literary, who wrote what and who said what to be precise. The prizes are 3 copies of Inspired Creative Writing by Alexander Gordon-Smith, a superb hard back book sharing all the tips and tricks of a very successful freelance writer with a good measure of humour thrown in!

There’s good money to be made from writing product reviews. Writelink is offering 5 complimentary copies of Maggie Ball’s ebook, The Art of Assessment, How to Review Anything in a random prize draw for everyone that registers with the site during the launch week.

I thought Nick Daws' "Write any book in under 28 days" was a tall order, but then I discovered this: Any advance on that?

I'm currently working on my own speed-writing guide: "Write a bestseller before you've even been born" I'll have it available online in the next few weeks.

To be fair to Nick Daws and those other writers, I am sure their books contain many useful tips and would be worth having for those tips alone, but the idea of a first-timer writing a full-length novel from scratch in under 14 days (or even under 28) sounds far-fetched to me.

The follow-up is going to be: "How to write a novel when you're dead"

Now -that- would be _really_ impressive...

Just want to say that I tried the http://www.writequickly.com/ course actually and it was pretty hot ;) The 7dayebook.com one is a con, don't try it. The 14 day one by Steve Manning is sh!t... lots and lots of typos. But Nick Daws is genuine... I don't work for the company so don't care if don't visit, just my 2c:) Jimmy x

"You can write your next book or script in UNDER 28 DAYS, working 1 hour a day max. And that's 100% guaranteed!" I would have to learn to type faster for a start.

I once signed up to secondary school and it was a total waste of time. I was supposed to wind up with three good A level grades and spent the whole two years smoking dope. What a con!

I don't know why the phrases 'Smoke and mirrors' and 'Snake oil salesman' spring to mind. [%sig%]
