Comedy night in aid of Mencap

Laughter, they say, is the best medicine. So why not come and get dosed up at a comedy night in aid of the learning disability charity Mencap, on 20 May 2005 at the UCL Bloomsbury?

The night will be compered by Popworld's Simon Amstell, described by Heat magazine as "the best young presenter on TV", and The Times as "...at once the David Dimbleby, Howard Stern and Johnny Rotten for a generation of chart-smart pre-pubescents...".

The line-up for the night includes some of the UK's top comedy acts:

Simon Amstell – compere, Kevin Eldon, Howard Read, Rob Rouse, Ava Vidal, Hils Barker, Lucy Porter, Matt Kirshen, Robin Ince, Rob Deering, Phil Nichol.....more tbc

The evening is being organised by the Mencap Fallen committee, a voluntary group of professionals based in London. All proceeds will go towards helping Mencap support thousands of people with a learning disability do the things that most people take for granted.
