I loved this poem. The run-on lines worked really well for me (unlike too often when I find the line break seems to be there purely for the sake of making run-on lines).
Repetition carried so gently, you even gets away with songs in hearts which might be a bit cliched.
A song to touch my heart.
A touch that fills my heart
with song.
this is a wonderful image:
that sift through babble
and tie mortuary tags
to the toes of titillation.
Life as a stave is subtle. I might say life is composed or notated (or whatever the term for putting music on a stave is) rather than written. I'm not sure the last line does the poem justice but it's fab!
