Cheaper Transport?
Detention Centre? Oh yes, change at Croydon.
With the ever increasing cost of travel it appears that a new experiment to save the public money has not been completely successful. Nine illegal immigrants who were given train tickets to travel unescorted from Cambridge to Croydon Surrey, disappeared en route but, happily, were later discovered back in Cambridgeshire at a depot in Fordham. So all’s well that ends well.
The police maintain that they saved the public purse a pretty penny by not providing an escort (or any make of car) but that it’s not likely to become official policy just yet.
