not a wind up

Should I explain? 'Crazy' as he calls himself, (a few threads below) is a little boy at my school. who does actually have ADHD. I thought it would be nice to write a story together, so he can tell it like it is. I aim to post it on the site when its finished. In the meantime, I thought I'd show him ABC, and he wanted to say something, so I let him use my computer. Tomorrow, i'll see if he wants to reply. He's only 10, but very bright.

Skeeter, You let a 10 year old kid with ADHD start a thread called ADHD (even though it was just a thread introducing himself) under the name "Crazy". I'm sorry, but that's bloody funny. Off to introduce myself to UKauthors. Look out for a thread called "Crohn's disease".

oh well, that's three of us in detention tomorrow then. greco will love it. perhaps an introduction from yourself might have been a wiser decision then skeets? You must know what this place is like and to let a 10 yr old with ADHD start a thread (it does sound like someone older ... who has left school and is toying with words) here strikes me as a tad irresponsible. the last thing you want is him or her getting wound up by a load of irritable old gits isn't it? I'd have thought UKA junior or whatever it's called a more suitable starting point than this venomous den. Are you a member there?

Ditto Stormy. What else can I say? 'Crazy' was written, recorded and a hit by Willie Nelson long before Patsy Cline covered it Flash, though her version was the bigger hit.

By the way Skeeter, it's not wise to let the kid call himself 'crazy' as a user name, especially as he evidently isn't.

cant see it myself. A boy, of the legal age to take some responsibilty for his actions (which is now 10), under supervision, wishes to talk to people; I fail to see how it can be 'irresponsible' to give him that opportunity. I'd suggest that any problems are with the people here, and their suspicions and antagonisms, and others should not have to censor themselves to take account of some peope's inabilities to enter a conversation in a straightforward way.

Skeet - no problems from my point of view so long as you are in control!

thanks Tony, I appreciate that. I'd only ever let 'child X' write anything when he's with me.
