the times today

today in the times of England the paper tells about self harm and the massive increase amongst people using this kind of behaviour, it is becoming epidemic and spiralling out of control. For the last two years i was trying to contact world wide press, mps and a range of other indepemdant sources including pop stars, actors and other people. It was to try and bring to attention my experinec of trying to get help for self harm behavipour in the UK. What i found when i was trying to get help bordered on human rights abuses and in some cases people who where approaching services for help in the uk where being led to suicide by so called professionals. This was taking its roots in pharmacutical companies who think that was to control self harm behaviour lies in drugs, this is wrong.

There are still massive human rights abuses happening in the Uk under the pretext of mental health and they are being administered to UK citizens who deserve better. The socio economical pattern just now dictates that younger males are becoming increasingly likely to become involved in self harm yet nothing is being done to educate people and explain why people self harm.

The mental health director resigned two weeks ago because of what is being covered up in this nation. The british public should be ahsamed of themselfs as abuses which are leading to people taking there lifes, when this does not need to be the case, are happening and the public are shutting there ears under a pretext that these people must be mad and not worth listening to.

These people should be listened to after all we have to listen to islamic miltants and the like scream about there causes and get public support.

In scotland for the last two years i tried to bring attention to self harm and what is currently happening in Glasgow for males and females who are involved in self harm but want to stop. Nothing is happening apart from health executives and goveremnt departments covering up the truth of self harm and what is done for this groups of people.

I was being harrassed in Glasgow by authorities including the police which took root form the fact that i was trying to bring attention to the abuses that are being administered in the name of the nhs.

Two years ago the world health organisation called for heros to stand up and help bring this to the attention of the public and help set up community led strategies to help thesse poepl regain some kind of dignity.

Lets fact it an act of self harm is the lowest thing a person can do to themselfs and it is widely known now that this group of people are from abvusive backgrounds. Mental health workers have being trying belittle this theory for years to help pharmacutical compaineis keep a grasp in the UK and to make there companies mass profit, the cost of course is human life.

I wondered the streets of the Uk for fpour years homeless and involved in self harm and i hated it, i wanted to stop but anytime i tried to get help these abusive health workers who all held judgemental views made it worse to the point that i neartly lost my life twice through heavy bleeding while lying in on the streets.

I lost my college course just there. During the course i had been trying set something up for self harm awareness day in Scotland but was constantly hounded by college lectureres in the Nautical college in Glasgow. It was funny that this was the same college where a lot of Glasgow mental health workers spring from. So now i have lost my cours efor trying to be a hero and stand up for Uk citizens in my city, abused people who end up turning knifes on themselfs to cure there pain while these people in charge mask human rights abuses that are leading to death. the pressure of every one disregarding what i had to say about self harm and making me feel ,like an idiot put me under massive pressure, my family where affected and everyone around me including me.

Scotland and Glasgow should be investigated by the European union in to the massive incresase from self harm to suicide and there feeble attempts to explain it by way of the waether and other ignorant agenada should be dismissied immediatly and what should be listened to.

the way i was put of my course was scandalous. Does any one here think it is right that a student who works for charity and who is trying to bring attention to something which people need to know about, something which is killing children and adults in our country because of the level of ignorance around it should be expelled from college. The lecturers in that college where disgusting. They used to give comments to me like hes mad or mental hospitals are right for people who self harm. The world health organisation says different and pleads for people to wake up to what is happening around this subject. Scottish people are great at shouting bravehearts and how fair and geart they all are, this is far fromt he truth about this country.

I am far from mad and if anything i am Scotlands only survivor of years of self harm that can tell you what is going wrong what is happening from a survivors point of view.

Just like the german people all pleaded ignorance when the the jewish people where being executed it seems that the british people are willing to plead ignorance when there own people are being led on a road to death, under words of mental health.

So, i think today in the times gives me a lot of credibility back on these forums. I was also of course trying to bring attention to this topic last year.

Young people are and adults are losing there life because of this and there are series issues to be raised in health authorities in scotland and the UK, especially how males are being treated and how they are having there dignity stripped and led in some cases down a road of death.

*Mental health directors in the nhs of the Uk wont by way of ignorance administer human rights abuses on to uk citizens nor will there employees no matter who they think they might be*

This has been happening for years now and thousands of life scould have been saved if people starting questioning what is going on..

Sounds like you have a lot experience around this issue. Why don't you join the Samaritans? We get a lot of calls around self-harm issues. Your experience would help and you would be doing something worthwhile too.

Why do these people self harm Stephen? Is it a livid cry for help? Are there different reasons? Is it practicing for suicide? threatening suicide? Hoping someone will guess they have been abused and help fix them? feel something rather than the emotional pain? Why do they do it? and have you stopped now? To get listened to, you need to take a leaf out of Bob Geldof's book. He rarely shouts so when he does, people know he's serious. He also talks to the right people. College lecturers, I don't think were the right audience for you. If you shout all the time or don't have a reasoned discussion and it doens't matter what your cause is, people won't listen. They can't when they are scared. Choose the time and place and explain calmly maybe even using your own personal experience. I'd guess that it wasn't the content of what you were saying that got you kicked out, but the way it was put across. Swearing, shouting, who needs that in their day to day? Do you agree? I do think that letting go trying to change the world and concentrating on yourself would be healthier for you just now. I think these causes are just adding to your anger and frustration. When you're in a more centred place yourself, then it's the right time to try for broader change. Right now, it's just adding to your problems (it seems to me). I'm not saying give up, I'm saying change your energies to yourself and getting yourself back on track. I realise that your angry that the NHS and the education system have let you down, but if you look at the human beings there, possibly not happy in their jobs, trying their best or too tired to try anymore, then maybe you can react differently to them? It's terrible not to be listened to, but maybe somebody did. Maybe a college lecturerer at a dinner party talked about you, a journalist was there, emailed someone and bang, it's in the news. You just never know. H
